I recently had a group booking at Rosaβs Canteen, and from start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant has a cozy, modern vibe with views over leafy Little Bourke Street - itβs the kind of place that feels both relaxed and special. We went with the set menu, and honestly, every single dish was a winner. My favourite was the roasted beetroot antipasti with squacquerone and mint pesto, but the broccoli pasta was a close second! The menu struck a beautiful balance of traditional Italian flavours, and you could tell everything was made with care. What really made the night, though, was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made sure our group felt looked after the whole evening. Itβs rare to find service that feels so genuine and warm. Absolutely will be back! Had a great evening and meal.
Our favourite Italian restaurant in Melbourne. We've been coming regularly for years now and it's the perfect place for a long lunch. Love that the menu is seasonal and always changing. Have dined here twice in the last two weeks and the current menu is fantastic. The pappadelle with liver is delicious. Highly recommend trying the 'tart of the day' - it never disappoints.
My kind of Italian restaurant! Rustic and simple yet full of flavors and really good ingredients! Our fav was the Rabbit and the Chicken Livers! The only concern was it was really hard to find haha, the google map was in front of the main road but it was behind the building and on the 2nd floor. Took us a while! The aglio olio for my son was good too!
Pasta was ok but not worth the price (AUD35-40). Had the squid pasta with fish but there was fish scale found in the pasta sadly. And the fish did not tasted very fresh. Added broccoli as the side its AUD14 for only 3 pieces (the price is crazy).
We went there for lunch. Ordered some this king like tomato based slow cooked pork and seafood spaghetti and vegetables. The spaghetti is unique and tasty. Itβs taste just nice but my friend said itβs too salty for him. Pork and vegetables are good and normal. Actually sourdough can be better. Itβs cold and very hard. If itβs toasted or warmed up then it could be better. Their staffs are friendly and nice! Overall itβs nice environment and good food.
