Absolutely first-class food (every dish was amazing) but equally as importantly, they have wonderful staff and service. We didn't notice that the kids menu was for "pasta bolognaise" and assumed it was spaghetti bolognaise. When the dish came out (with penne), our fussy eater took one look at it and flatly refused to touch the dish. The waiter very kindly said he would check with the kitchen, and came back to say they could accommodate us, which we really appreciated. This is by no means our first visit here and it won't be our last.
Good food, nice view and excellent service from Denise. Started with the parma prosciutto pizza which was ok and is a decent size. The mains were a squid ink mezzelune which good with deep flavours and also a the ragu. Ordered warm bread (garlic focaccia) on the side which was $5 and was absolutely amazing to mop up the bisque with.
Now I'm going to preface this with we went here on New Years Eve with a set menu priced at $165 each. The staff were amazing and the hostess at the front desk went above and beyond. She made our night with her attentiveness and help getting not only a last minute table but finding the last bottle of wine we requested. Personne is in the W Hotel precinct and is really beautiful. Unfortunately (not under their control) there is a lot of roadworks and construction right outside their balcony which would be quite noisy during lunch hour. The set menu was plentiful and spaced appropriately to allow you to enjoy your food without being rushed. The food for us was OK. The salmon was bland and needed more citrus, the Arancini was good as were the meatballs but they were a little dry if you didn't smother in the sauce. Mains were rib eye, gnocchi and fries. The rib eye was good, fries weren't necessary and the gnocchi was actually really flavoursome. My husband is Italian and we have tiramisu regularly so I wasn't a fan on this version. Again it was a large portion but not my taste. Overall, it was good but if we go again and can try foods we can choose it may change my mind.
Persone Italian Restaurant was an amazing experience. The food was delicious and very filling, and the prices were quite affordable, making it a great value. The setting, with its lovely view and relaxed atmosphere, was perfect for both special occasions and casual meals. We were a group of four young girls, and the service we received from Tony was exceptional. He ensured we were well accommodated and checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. A special touch was when we brought our own cake β they went out of their way to set it up beautifully, complete with βHappy Birthdayβ written on the plate. They even sang for my friend, cut the cake, and served it to us with care. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience.
