Funkatello is definitely a place we'll come back to. We we're seated near the window which is stunning. We had the amore a due set and the portion was enough to feed three! Beside the portion, the food was absolutely wonderful and the staff deserves more than 5 stars for their service.
Recommended by friend who lives in Sydney as a must go when visiting from Melbourne. We stayed in Darlinghurst so an easy walk. From the time we drives the whole experience was so good. Food was delicious and service relaxed and genuine. Went back a second night for tiramisu but they had run out. Had to travel back to Melbourne otherwise I would have gone back a third time to try the tiramisuβ¦.. never mi d, will have to wait for the next time.
Most fantastic meal, such beautiful flavours. Started with the Spicy Nduja Arancini, the Meat balls and garlic bread. Enjoyed all of them, the favourite was the Arancini, they really packed a spicy punch! For mains we enjoyed the Bucatini Allamatriciana and the Beef Ragu. Again, so delicious! Both equally as good as each other. Service was good, nice friendly staff
Absolutely Sensational. We had this on our list to visit for too long and now regret not coming sooner. Everything was excellent, from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. Very reasonable and affordable eatery in Darlinghurst. Prompt service and the owner always willing to have a chat. The place was fully booked, so please make sure you book, it's a small cosy place on Stanley St. The food was cooked perfectly and promptly, with all the staff ready to help if needed, without being constantly in your face. Thanks again to all at Funkatello, we will be back.
